Another KY Lottery ticket worth $25K per year for life unclaimed. Where it was purchased

A Lucky For Life lottery ticket worth $25,000 per year for life was recently purchased at a Kentucky liquor store, and the winner has yet to come forward to claim their prize.

The ticket was purchased from Cut Rate Liquors at 185 Delaina Drive in Mount Washington, and the Lucky For Life drawing was held March. 4.

The winning ticket matched the first five numbers drawn, but didn’t match the Lucky Ball, winning the game’s second-biggest prize, Kentucky Lottery officials said in a Wednesday press release. The prize has a 20-year minimum payout if the winner chooses the yearly payment option, or they can opt for a one-time $390,000 cash payment.

The Lucky For Life winning ticket from Tuesday had the numbers 2, 11, 25, 30, 31, and the winning Lucky Ball was 7.

Officials said the winner should call the Kentucky Lottery at 1-877-789-4532 to make an appointment to claim their prize at the headquarters in Louisville. Also winners should sign the back of their tickets, keep them in a secure location and claim their prize within 180 days from the date of the drawing.

This is the Kentucky Lottery’s third Lucky For Life second-tier winner in the last five months, according to lottery officials. In November, a Lexington resident won the same prize amount. He opted for the one-time lump sum, which came out to $280,804.32 after taxes, the Herald-Leader previously reported. A Danville man won the prize in January, as well.

The Lucky For Life game is played in 22 states, as well as in Washington, D.C., the Kentucky Lottery reports, and drawings are held every night around 10:35 p.m. The game’s top prize is $1,000 per day for life.

A ticket costs $2, and potential prize amounts range from a $4 sum to $1,000 per day for life. The odds of winning the $25,000 per year for life prize are 1 in 1,813,028, and the odds of taking the top prize are 1 in 30,821,472.

In fiscal year 2024, 70% of Kentucky Lottery proceeds went to winners, 20% went to the commonwealth for college scholarships and grant programs, 5% went to retailers and 5% went toward administrative costs, the organization reports.
