Search expands for Kentucky boy who has been missing since Wednesday
Kentucky State Police say they are broadening their search for a 10-year-old boy who was reported missing in Breathitt County earlier this week.
The search for Jayden Spicer has involved the use of aircraft, drones, dogs, sonar, thermal imaging and “boots on the ground” from multiple agencies, state police said in an update Friday afternoon.
“Organized search efforts have thoroughly searched all areas of priority,” state police said. “… At this time KSP will broaden its investigation and explore other areas in an effort to locate Jayden.”
Jayden is thought to have left his home on Panbowl Branch Road in the Jackson community late Tuesday or early Wednesday. He was last seen at about 9 p.m. Tuesday, and state police were notified that Jayden was missing at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday.
Jayden is 5-foot-1, with a slim build, blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue Sonic the Hedgehog pajama pants and a matching shirt.
State police ask the public to remain on the lookout for Jayden, and any information about his whereabouts should be reported to Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard by calling 606-435-6069 or using the KSP tip line at Kentuckystatepolice.ky.gov/tip.
