A KY Lottery player won $25K for life in October. They haven’t claimed the ticket

If you purchased a Lucky for Life ticket in Kentucky last year, there is a chance you may have won $25,000 a year for “life.”

The Oct. 21 winning ticket was sold at Jr Food in Bowling Green. The winning numbers were 8, 9, 15, 31, 32 and Lucky Ball 12, a Tuesday Kentucky Lottery news release reads.

The winning ticket matched five of the winning numbers, as well as the Lucky Ball, meaning the purchaser won the game’s second prize — worth the annual $25,000 pre-tax or a lump sum payout.

The ticketholder has until Friday, April 17 to claim their prize, which worth $282,750. If the prize remains unclaimed, Kentucky Lottery will put the money in the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship reserve fund.

A new game, Millionaire for Life, recently replaced Lucky for Life. The new game’s grand prize is $1 million a year for life for a minimum of 20 years or a lump sum payout. That top prize is more than double the grand prize in Lucky for Life game, which was $365,000 a year for “life.”

Drawings for Millionaire for Life happen nightly.
