Fetal homicide was added Friday to the list of charges facing a man accused of strangling a woman in Russell County.

Christopher W. Allman, 28, was previously arraigned on charges of murder, kidnapping, first-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence. He pleaded not guilty in Russell District Court Monday to those charges.

An autopsy had confirmed that Sarah Hart, 31, was 10 to 11 weeks pregnant with her fourth child when she allegedly was strangled to death by Allman while running the morning of June 14.

Kentucky State Police arrested Allman about 12 hours after Hart's death. He is being held without bond.

Russell County Attorney Kevin Shearer could not be reached immediately for comment.
