After going nearly last-minute to get a solitary quarterback commitment for the class of 2018, Alabama has already lined up a signal caller for 2020 and flipped a Florida baseball prospect to do it.

Carson Beck, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound two-sport junior out of Jacksonville, Fla., announced on Twitter Tuesday that he has committed to the Tide and will play football and baseball in Tuscaloosa.

Beck committed to play baseball at Florida last summer, but his football prospects picked up after coming off the bench to replace an injured starter at Providence School last fall. He threw for 994 yards and six touchdowns in just four games.

Although unrated in the 247Sports.com Composite Index, he has garnered football offers from schools including Florida, Miami and Boston College in the past few months.

Beck is Alabama's fourth commitment in the class of 2020 and the third quarterback in the wings for the Tide along with 2019 commitments Paul Tyson and Taulia Tagovailoa, the younger brother of national championship game star Tua Tagovailoa.

Alabama recently flipped former Arkansas State commit Lance Hatcher as its only QB for the 2018 class.
