Calipari completes dunk challenge under cover of darkness
Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari, always quick to embrace the latest trend on social media, had some fun Friday night with a basketball meme sweeping Twitter and Instagram.
Calipari posted a video of himself taking the “Drive-by Dunk Challenge,” in which individuals dunk on basketball hoops wherever they can find them.
Dinner w/the VP last night & watched quadruple OT tonight. D.C. to Atlanta to Dallas to Lex. Need to finish it w/ the #DriveByDunkChallenge! pic.twitter.com/qqnrn9Msy2

According to Sports Illustrated, the meme was introduced last week on Instagram.
At one point, former University of Kentucky star Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans threw one down for the challenge:
Might not want to leave your hoops out..... we coming for em!! #DriveByDunkChallenge #GivesYouWings pic.twitter.com/oeBoW4lzNs

Considering Calipari was operating in the dark of night and on two artificial hips, the coach successfully executed the challenge and got away cleanly — almost. You’ll notice at the end, the coach left his basketball behind.
Others have not been so lucky:

And, if you know basketball, you had to know this was coming next:
