Where will Kentucky be placed in NCAA Tournament? One last look at the bracketology.
By Sunday evening, the NCAA Tournament bracket will be all sorted out.
Where will the Kentucky Wildcats end up?
As of noon Sunday, the bracketology aggregation website BracketMatrix.com, which pulls bracket projections from more than 100 different sources, had UK as the No. 5 overall team and top-ranked 2 seed in this year’s March Madness. Based on the other rankings on the Bracket Matrix site, that would put the Cats in the Chicago region, opposite No. 1-seeded Kansas, which won the Big 12 Tournament on Saturday night.
Gonzaga, Arizona, Kansas and Baylor are nearly universally ranked as the four No. 1 seeds.
Here’s a look at where some of the highest-profile bracketology sites have the Cats going into Sunday afternoon (click on each link for the full brackets):
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi: No. 2 seed in Chicago (with Kansas as the No. 1)
CBS Sports: No. 2 seed in Philadelphia (with Baylor as the No. 1)
Bracketville: No. 2 seed in Chicago (with Kansas as the No. 1)
The Athletic: No. 2 seed in Chicago (with Kansas as the No. 1)
NCAA’s Andy Katz: No. 2 seed in Philadelphia (with Baylor as the No. 1)
Sporting News: Top No. 2 seed, which would put Cats with Kansas in Chicago
Yahoo Sports: No. 2 seed in Chicago (with Kansas as the No. 1)
Sports Illustrated: No. 2 seed in San Antonio (with Arizona as the No. 1)
The NCAA Tournament Selection Show will air on CBS at 6 p.m. Sunday.
