The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team played Providence College on Friday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament East Regional in Greensboro, N.C. The sixth-seeded Wildcats defeated the 11th-seeded Friars 61-53.
Next up for Kentucky is a second-round meeting with No. 3-seed Kansas State or No. 14-seed Montana State on Sunday in Greensboro.
