The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team defeated Kentucky State 99-53 Thursday night in its final exhibition tuneup ahead of the start of the regular season on Monday night.
The Wildcats made 37 of 66 shots from the field (56.1%), 10 of 25 from 3-point range (40%) and 15 of 21 from the free-throw line (71.4%) during the victory in Rupp Arena.
The Thorobreds connected on 19 of 64 from the field (29.7%), 5 of 22 on 3-pointers (22.7%) and 10 of 14 foul shots (71.4%).
