The 16th-ranked University of Kentucky men’s basketball team defeated Marshall University 118-82 Friday night in Rupp Arena.

Kentucky’s 118 points were the most scored by the Wildcats in the John Calipari coaching era.

The Wildcats made 45 of 74 shots from the field (60.8%), 16 of 27 from 3-point range (59.3%) and 12 of 15 from the free-throw line (80%) during the nonconference win.

The Thundering Herd connected on 29 of 69 from the field (42%), 9 of 26 3-pointers (34.6%) and 15 of 23 foul shots (65.2%).
