The sixth-ranked University of Kentucky men’s basketball team was defeated by South Carolina 79-62 in Columbia, S.C., on Tuesday night.
The Wildcats made 25 of 62 shots from the field (40.3%), 4 of 13 from 3-point range (30.8%) and 8 of 9 from the free-throw line (88.9%) during the Southeastern Conference defeat.
The Gamecocks connected on 29 of 60 from the field (48.3%), 11 of 24 3-pointers (45.8%) and 10 of 14 foul shots (71.4%).
