The 16th-ranked University of Kentucky men’s basketball team defeated unranked Mississippi State 91-89 in Starkville, Miss., on Tuesday night, on a last-second shot by freshman Reed Sheppard.
The Wildcats made 33 of 60 shots from the field (55%), 10 of 30 from 3-point range (33.3%) and 15 of 17 from the free-throw line (88.2%) during the Southeastern Conference win.
The Bulldogs connected on 33 of 64 from the field (51.6%), 11 of 25 3-pointers (44%) and 12 of 17 foul shots (70.6%).
