Rob Dillingham and Reed Sheppard were ready for their big nights.

The first round of the 2024 NBA draft was held Wednesday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City, and ex-Cats Dillingham and Sheppard were both taken early in the proceedings.

Sheppard was selected No. 3 overall by the Houston Rockets. Dillingham was taken No. 8 overall by the San Antonio Spurs, but is being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Both players were invited to the green room at the draft given pre-event expectations that they would both be selected in the lottery, and that gave both Dillingham and Sheppard a chance to show off their fashion choices ahead of and during the draft.

A first look at the draft night attire for Dillingham and Sheppard came early Wednesday evening, when both players walked the red carpet at the draft.

Dillingham was decked out in a black suit highlighted with sparkly crosses and other accents, along with a pair of black-frame glasses. Sheppard opted for a olive green suit and a pair of brown dress shoes.

The two former Kentucky teammates shared a moment on the red carpet as well, with Sheppard crashing an interview that Dillingham was conducting with NBA TV.

A social media post from the NBA draft account on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, provided further insight into Dillingham’s draft night attire.

“I like the sparkles the best,” Dillingham said of his suit, which he helped designed himself.

A pair of black Converse sneakers completed Dillingham’s look.

Dillingham, Sheppard also showed off fashion at NBA draft Lottery

This isn’t the first time Dillingham and Sheppard have been able to display their fashion choices with relation to the 2024 draft.

Both prospects were on hand in May for the NBA Draft Lottery event, which was held in Chicago.

That event determined the order of the first 14 picks for this year’s draft, a time frame during which both Dillingham and Sheppard are likely to be chosen on Wednesday night.

On that occasion, Dillingham drew plenty of attention for another sparkly outfit, while Sheppard was outfitted in a more demure pale blue suit.
