Did you turn it off at halftime or hang in there till the end of overtime?

Kentucky basketball fans with the never-give-up spirit of Mark Pope’s Wildcats were rewarded with one of the greatest comebacks in UK history, a 90-89 OT victory over seventh-ranked Gonzaga at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

UK trailed 50-34 at halftime in a game that tipped off at 10 p.m. Eastern Time. Calling it a night probably seemed like an OK idea for many of the Big Blue faithful — and might have even crossed the minds of the Wildcats themselves after a dreadful opening half in front of a hostile crowd.

Then ... magic.

Kentucky’s Jaxson Robinson stepped into the role of emergency point guard over the final eight-plus minutes of regulation and overtime after injuries to Lamont Butler and Kerr Kriisa. He finished with 18 points, three rebounds, five assists and no turnovers.
