Kentucky basketball at South Carolina: Get live updates, stats

The Kentucky men’s basketball team is desperate for a win.

It’s headed to one of the best SEC arenas to chase one.

Nothing is a given for the Wildcats (17-10, 8-6 SEC), who are mired in a three-game losing streak. Last week they lost at home to a Georgia team that had lost five of six games and on the road at Auburn, which snapped a five-game losing streak with the win.

On paper, the trip to South Carolina (12-15, 3-11) represents Kentucky’s best remaining chance for a win.

The Gamecocks are 2-5 at home in SEC play. College basketball analytics site KenPom.com gives the Cats a 69% chance of winning. The site projects UK with a 47% chance or less of winning remaining games against Vanderbilt, at Texas A&M and at Florida.

You can follow Tuesday’s tilt with the Gamecocks in the live chat below, which also features live stats and real-time play-by-play.

Herald-Leader men’s basketball beat writer Ben Roberts and sports columnist Mark Story will be on hand at Colonial Life Arena, and staff writers Cameron Drummond and Caroline Makauskas will join from home to provide updates and answer your questions.
