The University of Kentucky has taken on the No. 1-ranked team in The Associated Press Top 25 college football poll 17 times in its history.

Opportunity No. 18 will come Saturday at Georgia.

The Bulldogs (6-0, 4-0 SEC) were ranked No. 2 in the previous AP poll but moved into the top spot when the new ratings are revealed Sunday in the wake of No. 1 Alabama’s loss to Texas A&M.

Eleventh-ranked Kentucky (6-0, 4-0) travels to Athens to face Georgia on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised nationally by CBS.

The Wildcats are 3-14 all-time against No. 1 teams. Their most recent win over a top-ranked team came in 2007 when UK toppled LSU 43-37 in three overtimes in Lexington.
