Excitement for Kentucky football’s 2022 season is not only evident in preseason rankings and social media posts.
It also is reflected in the program’s season ticket sales.
As of Tuesday, Kentucky had sold 38,100 season ticket packages, its highest total since 2015. The 6,000-plus student season ticket packages were sold out. Less than 100 full season ticket packages remained for purchase.
“We’re expecting big crowds and we greatly appreciate that,” Kentucky Coach Mark Stoops said this week. “You always hear me talk about that. I always appreciate it. I know the sacrifice they make. I can promise you that our team has worked exceptionally hard to go play well.”
The 2022 home schedule is back-loaded with marquee games with No. 3 Georgia scheduled to visit Kroger Field on Nov. 19 and the return of the Governor’s Cup rivalry game versus Louisville to Lexington set for Nov. 26.
Kentucky opens the 2022 season against Miami (Ohio) on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Wildcats also host non-conference games against Youngstown State and Northern Illinois in September. South Carolina, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt are scheduled to play SEC games in Lexington in addition to Georgia.
UK has transitioned to mobile ticketing, so fans who have already purchased tickets are encouraged to download tickets and parking passes ahead of time. Anyone who needs help with that process can call the ticket office at 800-928-2287 before Saturday.
Additional game-day information for fans is available at UKAthletics.com/gameday. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the stadium early.
