The University of Kentucky football team defeated the 10th-ranked Louisville Cardinals 38-31 at L&N Stadium in Louisville on Saturday in the regular season finale for both teams.

The Wildcats finished the regular season 7-5 overall and 3-5 in the SEC with a bowl game still to be played at a location to be determined. Louisville fell to 10-2 overall and finished ACC play with a 7-1 record that earned the Cardinals a berth in next Saturday’s conference championship game against No. 5 Florida State.
