More Kentucky basketball recruiting links: A look at Reed Sheppard’s stats this season
Heading into the new year, here’s a look at what Kentucky basketball commitment Reed Sheppard has done so far this season.
Sheppard, a junior guard at North Laurel High School who committed to the Cats in November, is averaging 26.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game for the Jaguars, who are 10-3 on the season so far. He’s shooting 56.0 percent from the field and has made 30 of 74 three-point shots (40.5 percent). He’s also shooting 90.2 percent on free throws.
The future Wildcat’s junior campaign has included winning MVP honors at the King of the Bluegrass tournament in Louisville last month. Next up for North Laurel will be a home game against Clay County on Friday, and the Jaguars’ schedule features at least two more games in central Kentucky -- at Scott County on Jan. 22 and a matchup with Henry Clay in the Jock Sutherland Classic at Lafayette on Feb. 5.
