ESPN’s NBA Draft team took a long look at the case of Kentucky’s Shaedon Sharpe on Tuesday, and one part in particular won’t be pleasing to UK fans.

“Talking to NBA teams, they are all preparing for Sharpe ultimately being in the draft, and say they’ll be surprised if he isn’t,” ESPN’s Jonathan Givony wrote in the breakdown of Sharpe’s situation.

That view backs up what some other NBA Draft watchers told the Herald-Leader last week regarding Sharpe, who is expected to be eligible for the 2022 draft but could still return to Kentucky to play college basketball next season.

ESPN currently ranks Sharpe, who will not play for UK this season, as the No. 7 overall prospect in this year’s draft. ESPN Plus subscribers can check out the entire breakdown of Sharpe’s status at this link.
