Henry Clay star Ethan MacGillivray has been named Lexington Boys’ Soccer Player of the Year.

MacGillivray, a Blue Devils senior, was the leading vote-getter and received three first-place votes from among the city’s nine boys’ soccer coaches. He finished ahead of Paul Laurence Dunbar senior Josh Szydlik, who also received three first-place votes.

Tyler Kenney, a senior who helped propel Lexington Catholic to the KHSAA State Tournament for the first time since 2007, became a three-time selection to the All-City first team, the only player on this year’s team with that distinction.
