The Kentucky Football Coaches Association has announced its 2024 players and coaches of the year for each of high school football’s six classes.
Sayre coach Chad Pennington and wideout/safety Brock Coffman were named Class A coach and player of the year, respectively.
The awards were announced ahead of each state championship game this weekend at Kroger Field.
Also among the honorees were Boyle County coach Justin Haddix and his standout University of Kentucky signee Montavin Quisenberry.
The honor was the third of the week for Quisenberry, who also received the Louisville Quarterback Club’s Paul Hornung Award and the Kentucky Gatorade player of the year honor. He’ll probably be among the finalists for the KFCA’s Mr. Football. That award is expected to be announced soon.
