Coaches name 2025 All-11th Region girls basketball team

Madison Central’s Nataya Strader and her coach Scott True took top honors Thursday as the 11th Region’s girls high school basketball coaches selected their All-11th Region Team and coach of the year.

Strader, a 5-foot-6 senior guard who averages 18 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, was named region player of the year for the second time this month. Strader also received the honor from the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches, which honors the state’s top seniors for its list of Miss Basketball candidates.

This is also the second coach of the year honor this month for True, who has now been honored by both the KABC and the 11th Region’s coaches twice during his tenure at Madison Central since taking over the program in 2022.

The Indians (25-2) ranked as the No. 11 girls team in the state in the final media poll of the regular season and are among the favorites to contend for the region crown at next week’s tournament at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.

Madison Central and defending region champion Franklin County led the all-region team with three honorees each.
