Here’s the 2025 Lexington All-City Girls Soccer Team
The Lexington Herald-Leader and Kentucky.com are proud to present the 2025 All-City High School Girls Soccer Teams as voted on by the nine coaches of Lexington’s varsity KHSAA programs.
Lexington Catholic’s Joanna Bryant was chosen as Lexington’s girls soccer player of the year.
Bryant, a senior forward committed to Miami (Ohio), led the Knights with 33 goals and 22 assists going into Wednesday’s state tournament semifinals against Sacred Heart. She received six top player votes from the city’s coaches.
Paul Laurence Dunbar’s Kennedy Morgan earned two top nods. Fellow Bulldog Emerson Stone got the other. Both made the all-city first team.
Rounding out the first-team honorees were Bryan Station’s Heavan Dobson, Frederick Douglass’ Ella Flynn, Henry Clay’s Gia Mannella and Mary Oakley, Lafayette’s Kitty Crovo, Lexington Catholic’s Harper Ward, Lexington Christian’s Jentry Bertram and Sayre’s Lucie Pitman.
Players were nominated and voted on by the city’s coaches, who ranked their first- and second-team choices. Each team got five nominees. Twenty-two points were allotted to their player of the year, 21 to the next player, etc. Per tradition, coaches do not vote for their own players in the final tally.
