Teams announced for high school softball’s 2026 East/West All-Star Series
The annual Kentucky Prep Softball East/West All-Stars Series is set for Saturday and Sunday at North Laurel High School in London.
Each half of the state — the West (KHSAA Regions 1-8) and East (KHSAA Regions 9-16) — fields two teams each year, one set made up of seniors and the other of juniors.
Adrienn Arcure, who hit .352 and matched a team-high with 21 runs for Bryan Station this spring, will be Lexington’s only participant in the games. The junior utility player helped lead the Defenders to the 42nd District title and their first 11th Region championship game appearance.
Madison Central, the 11th Region champion, will be represented by Miley Cooke, a senior headed to Manchester University in Indiana to continue her softball career.
Great Crossing senior Ava Collins, who had 34 hits and 18 RBI this season, is the 11th Region’s only other participant.
Arabella Guinn and Lilliana Hill, both juniors from George Rogers Clark, will join Arcure on the East junior squad. Hill was the Cardinals’ ace (1.91 ERA) and finished inside the top 10 statewide in most offensive categories, including fourth in RBI (66). Guinn was right behind Hill in most of those statistics and leaped her in total hits (71).
Shyanne Ross, who ranked among the state leaders in saves for Harrison County, will play for the East seniors along with teammate Bella Persinger.
East Jessamine is the only central Kentucky school with players on both the senior (Natalie Alimento) and junior (Lily Kate Dugger) squads. Miley Finley from 12th Region rival Boyle County will play alongside Alimento.
In addition to the games, three former players will be inducted into the Kentucky Prep Softball Hall of Fame as part of the event during a Saturday banquet. They are: Hannah Davis (Scott County), Shelby Nunn (South Warren) and Whitney Valentine-Mallory (Elizabethtown).
The KSCA’s All-State honors, including the Miss Softball award for South Warren’s McLaine Hudson, will be handed out during Saturday’s activities. The all-star teams will play a total of six nine-inning games across two days.
