2022 Boys’ Sweet 16: Wrap-up of the state tournament semifinals and championship game
George Rogers Clark High School defeated Warren Central 43-42 in Rupp Arena on Saturday night to win the 2022 United HealthCare Boys’ Sweet 16 State Basketball Tournament.
The two teams advanced to the state finals with semifinal victories earlier in the day — Clark County eliminating Lincoln County and Warren Central knocking off Covington Catholic.
Saturday’s games concluded back-to-back weeks of state championship action in Rupp Arena. Last week, Sacred Heart Academy won its second consecutive girls’ state high school basketball title.
