The 2022 Mingua Beef Jerky Girls’ Sweet 16 State Basketball Tournament came to a close in Rupp Arena on Saturday night with Sacred Heart Academy defeating Bullitt East 64-46 in the championship game.

For Sacred Heart, the victory completed the Valkryies run to a second consecutive state title.

Bullitt East and Sacred Heart advanced to the state finals by winning semifinal games earlier Saturday. Bullitt East defeated Southwestern, and Sacred Heart knocked off Cooper.
