High school basketball highlights: No. 8 Scott Co. boys whip Bryan Station

BOYS

No. 8 Scott County 76, Bryan Station 54: Billy Hicks, Kentucky’s career leader in coaching victories, picked up his 900th in the host Cardinals’ win. Bryce Long led the way with 20 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. He was 4-for-6 from three-point range.

Meade County 68, Elizabethtown 54: Josh Durbin scored 13 points and grabbed 19 rebounds for the host Green Wave.

GIRLS

No. 5 Franklin County 79, Woodford County 41: The Flyers’ defense, keyed by six steals from Rebecca Cook and five more by Princess Stewart, held firm in a win at home. Brooklynn Miles led Franklin County in scoring with 15.

No. 1 Elizabethtown 64, Taylor County 13: Jada Stinson scored 26 points and had five steals in the top-ranked Panthers’ rout. Erin Boley added 17 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Shelby Valley 44, East Ridge 38: Lakyn Mullins had 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Wildcats’ road win.
