National Signing Day: See which Kentucky athletes have made it official
Kentucky high school football players could begin signing a national letter of intent to play in college on Wednesday. “National Signing Day” kicked off a signing period that continues until Sunday, April 1.
This began the second signing period for football, which this season introduced an early signing period that ran from Dec. 20-22.
Below is a list of athletes from schools in the central Kentucky area who’ve signed or will soon sign national letters of intent. The list is organized by sport and has been curated from signings reported to the Herald-Leader as well as those reported by other media outlets and schools on social media.
Please note: Some schools, such as NAIA institutions, cannot accept a national letter of intent, but some athletes listed below joined in the ritual on a purely ceremonial basis.
If you know of an athlete who will next season play a sport in college and isn’t listed below, please contact Josh Moore via Twitter (@HLpreps) or email (jmoore@herald-leader.com).
