One doesn’t have to look far to see the potential future of University of Kentucky football.

The program has made at least 25 offers to high school players inside the commonwealth and landed five commits, so far, from the class of 2021.

So, where are all these rising stars?

Four “Next Cats,” plus three targets, will be in action in Lexington on Sept. 11 when Class 6A No. 4 North Hardin plays Class 5A No. 2 Frederick Douglass.

Here’s a guide to UK’s in-state recruits and where they’ll be playing this fall. All player rankings are according to 247sports.com.

Frederick Douglass

UK commits: Jager Burton (Four-star senior, No. 3 OG in the nation); Dekel Crowdus (Four-star senior, No. 43 WR in nation).

UK offers: Ty Bryant (Three-star junior, No. 47 ATH in the nation); Thomas Howard (sophomore TE); Isaiah Kenney (sophomore CB); Dane Key (four-star junior, No. 28 WR in the nation, son of ex-Cat LB Donte Key).

Best games: Sept. 11 vs. North Hardin; Sept. 25 at Scott County; Nov. 6 vs. St. Xavier.

North Hardin

UK commits: La’Vell Wright (Three-star senior; No. 50 RB in the nation); Jordan Lovett (Three-star senior, No. 35 safety in the nation).

UK offers: Trevon Alexander (sophomore, OT).

Best games: Sept. 11 at Frederick Douglass; Oct. 9 at Belfry; Nov. 6 vs. South Warren.

Somerset

UK commits: Kaiya Sheron (Three-star senior, No. 19 pro-style QB in the nation).

Best games: Oct. 9 at Danville; Oct. 16 vs. Lexington Christian; Oct. 30 vs. Corbin.

Apollo

UK offers: Logan Weedman (Three-star senior, Tennessee Tech commit).

Best games: Sept. 11 at Owensboro; Sept. 25 at McCracken County.

Bowling Green

UK offers: Jordan Dingle (Three-star senior, No. 26 TE in the nation); Jantzen Dunn (Four-star senior, Ohio State commit).

Best games: Sept. 11 at St. Xavier; Oct. 2 vs. South Warren; Oct. 30 at Trinity.

Boyle County

UK offers: Jackson Smith (junior, K); Tommy Ziesmer (sophomore, DE).

Best games: Sept. 18 at Christian Academy-Louisville; Oct. 9 at Lexington Catholic; Oct. 30 vs. Madison Southern.

Corbin

UK offers: Treyveon Longmire (Three-star junior, No. 22 ATH in nation); Dakota Patterson (Four-star sophomore, No. 14 WR in the nation).

Best games: Sept. 11 vs. Beechwood; Sept. 25 at Bowling Green; Oct. 30 at Somerset.

Hopkinsville

UK offers: Reece Jesse (Three-star senior, No. 84 WR in the nation).

Best games: Oct. 16 at McCracken County; No. 6 at Bowling Green.

Johnson Central

UK offers: Grant Bingham (Three-star junior, No. 36 OT in the nation).

Best games: Sept. 11 at Bell County; Sept. 25 at Simon Kenton; Oct. 30 vs. Belfry; Nov. 6 at Bourbon County.

Male

UK offers: Selah Brown (Three-star junior, No. 21 ATH in the nation).

Best games: Sept. 18 at Trinity; Oct. 16 vs. Fern Creek; Nov. 6 at Ballard.

Owensboro

UK offers: Gavin Wimsatt (Four-star junior, No. 2 dual-threat QB in the nation).

Best games: Oct. 9 at Owensboro Catholic; Oct. 16 vs. Graves County.

Pulaski County

UK offers: Tristan Cox (Three-star senior; Purdue commit).

Best games: Sept. 11 at Belfry; Sept. 18 at Madison Southern; Oct. 23 at Southwestern.

South Warren

UK offers: Caden Veltkamp (Three-star junior, No. 29 pro-style QB in the nation); Cristian Conyer (sophomore ATH).

Best games: Oct. 2 at Bowling Green; Nov. 6 at North Hardin.

West Jessamine

UK offers: Jacob Jones (sophomore, pro-style QB; son of ex-Cats QB Pookie Jones).

Best games: Sept. 18 vs. Paul Laurence Dunbar; Sept. 25 at East Jessamine; Oct. 16 at Madison Southern.
