Some names have changed, but the emotion and intensity should be the same when Kentucky plays host to Louisville on Friday in the annual renewal of one of college basketball’s best rivalries.
For a scouting report on the visiting Cardinals, I talked to Jeff Greer, who covers U of L for the Courier-Journal. Jeff talks about what a crazy season it has been what with the FBI investigation and the firing of head coach Rick Pitino.
Greer talks about the interim coach David Padgett, the play of veterans Quentin Snider and Raymond Spalding and the keys for the Cards. He also makes some interesting points about how Louisville’s players might react in this game without Pitino as the head coach.
For a scouting report on Kentucky, I talked with my colleague Jerry Tipton of the Herald-Leader. We talk about UK’s loss to UCLA last Saturday in the CBS Sports Classic. We talk about the young team’s progress under John Calipari and the keys to Friday’s game.
