Nerd alert: Statistical leftovers from Kentucky’s win over Florida

Some leftover notes from Kentucky’s 65-59 win over Florida on Saturday:

The Cats have won six straight and 10 of their last 11 games.

Florida shot 43.1 percent from the floor, the highest percentage against UK since Georgia shot 43.5 on Jan. 21 at Rupp Arena.

Florida averaged 0.913 points per possession, the third time in the last four games UK has held the opponent under 1.0 PPP.

UK averaged 1.004 PPP.

Florida’s PPP of 0.913 was its lowest since averaging 0.777 in a 68-51 loss at Ole Miss on Feb. 8.

Florida averaged 1.330 in its last game against Arkansas.

Florida’s shooting percentage of 43.1 percent was the first time in four games it had failed to shoot at least 50 percent.

UK’s offensive rebound percentage of 22.2 was its lowest since 19.4 percent at Auburn on Feb. 1.

Kentucky has been out-rebounded each of its last two games — by 12 at LSU and by three by Florida.

UK was a perfect 10-for-10 at the foul line.

The last time the Cats were perfect from the foul line was on Feb. 7, 2012, when they were 11-of-11 in a 78-58 win over Florida at Rupp Arena.

Saturday was the second game in the Calipari era in which the Cats did not miss a free throw.

Kentucky was 5-of-15 from three-point range.

Prior to Florida, UK was 7-of-51 from three-point range over their last four games at Rupp Arena.

Florida committed 16 turnovers, the most by a UK opponent since Utah committed 17 on Dec. 18.

Florida’s turnover percentage was 24.7, highest since Utah’s 25.8.

Over his last three games, UK point guard Ashton Hagans has made 11 assists compared to 13 turnovers.

Hagans made three steals on Saturday, most since his three at Texas Tech on Jan. 25.

Tyrese Maxey made seven assists, most since his eight at Georgia on Jan. 7.

Maxey had seven rebounds, his most since his seven at Georgia on Jan. 7.

Maxey is 1-of-11 from three-point range over his last three games.

EJ Montgomery has blocked 11 shots over his last five games.

Immanuel Quickly has scored in double figures in 15 straight games, including all 14 of UK’s SEC games.

Quickley has scored 20-or-more points in seven games, all SEC games.

Over his last two games, Quickley has made six of 10 three-point shots.

Quickley’s 17 field goal attempts tied a career-high. Quickley was 7-of-17 from the floor at Texas Tech on Jan. 25, he was 8-of-17 on Saturday.

Nick Richards scored nine points, fewest since he scored seven points in loss at Auburn on Feb. 1.

Saturday was just the second game in SEC play Richards has failed to score in double figures.

After blocking six shots at LSU, Richards did not block a shot on Saturday.

Kerry Blackshear’s 18 points against Kentucky was his most since scoring 22 at Missouri on Jan. 11.

Blackshear turned it over five times and has committed 11 turnovers in his last two games.

Blackshear’s 14 field goal attempts (6-of-14) tied his high of 14 against Auburn on Jan. 18 (4-of-14).

Saturday, Blackshear scored nine points in the game’s first 7:32, then nine more the rest of the way.

Keyontae Johnson led Florida with 19 points on Saturday.

Johnson’s basket with 17:06 remaining put Florida up 40-33.

Johnson did not score again until the 2:09 mark, at which point Florida trailed 58-53.

Johnson missed all four of his three-point attempts, and is now 1-of-10 from three-point range in his last four games.

After scoring 51 points during Florida’s three-game win streak, Noah Locke field to score Saturday.

Locke was 0-of-5 from the floor and all five were three-point attempts.

Florida was 28-of-63 for 44.4 percent from three-point range in its three-game win streak.

The Gators were 6-of-23 from three for 26.1 percent on Saturday.

Florida’s Tre Mann scored an SEC-high 13 points on Saturday.

Mann was three-of-four from three-point range while his teammates were three-of-20.

Florida point guard Andrew Nembhard scored an SEC-low four points on Saturday.

His previous low was five points at Ole Miss on Feb. 8.

In his last three games, Nembhard has made 12 assists compared to 12 turnovers.
