Kentucky basketball will try and break a two-game losing streak in Columbia when the Wildcats take on the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday at Colonial Life Arena. ESPN has the 7 p.m. telecast.

On their last two trips to the Palmetto State, John Calipari’s Wildcats lost 76-68 on Jan. 16, 2018, and 81-78 to the Gamecocks in Columbia on Jan. 15, 2020. Kentucky has not won in Columbia since an 89-62 triumph on Feb. 13, 2016.

This year should be different. The Cats are 19-4 overall, 8-2 in the SEC and ranked fifth in the latest AP Top 25. South Carolina is 13-9 overall and 4-6 in the SEC.
