College football on television this weekend (Oct. 28-29)

ESPN’s college football A-team of Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe will be on the call Saturday at 7 p.m. when the No. 3-ranked Tennessee Volunteers play host to the 19th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats.

Tennessee is 7-0 overall, including 3-0 in the SEC. Josh Heupel’s Volunteers lead the nation in scoring offense and total offense. Kentucky is 5-2 overall, including 2-2 in the SEC. Mark Stoops’ Wildcats are No. 9 in scoring defense and No. 14 in total defense.

In other games matching ranked teams, No. 2 Ohio State is at No. 13 Penn State for a noon game on Fox. Ohio State is 7-0 overall, 4-0 in the Big Ten. Penn State is 6-1 overall, 3-1 in conference. The Nittany Lions’ lone loss came at Michigan.

No. 9 Oklahoma State is at No. 22 Kansas State in a 3:30 p.m. game on Fox. Oklahoma State is 6-1 overall, 3-1 in the Big 12. Kansas State is 5-2 overall. The Wildcats are also 3-1 in the Big 12.
