Scouting report: LSU

The LSU Tigers are 14-15 overall and 3-13 in the SEC after an 81-69 loss to Mississippi State on Saturday. Coach Matt McMahon’s team has lost three straight. LSU is ranked 78th in KenPom’s adjusted overall efficiency numbers. It is 100th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 64th in adjusted defensive efficiency.

LSU is 313th nationally in 3-point shooting at 31.3%. And the Tigers are 348th in defensive rebounding percentage at 34.6%.

Cam Carter leads LSU in scoring at 16.9 points per game and in assists at 2.6 per game. Corey Chest leads the team in rebounding at 6.6 per game. Former UK forward Daimion Collins is averaging 8.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists.

Scouting report: Kentucky

The Kentucky Wildcats are 19-10 overall and 8-8 in the SEC after Saturday’s 94-78 loss to No. 1 Auburn. UK has lost two of its last three and three of its last five games. KenPom has the Cats ranked 18th in adjusted overall efficiency, sixth in adjusted offensive efficiency and 65th in adjusted defensive efficiency.

Otega Oweh leads the Wildcats in scoring at 15.7 points per game. Amari Williams leads the Cats in rebounding at 8.8 per game and in assists at 3.1 per game. Koby Brea leads the team in 3-point shooting at 44.1%.
