Six people hospitalized after Lexington apartment fire
Six people were hospitalized after an apartment fire on Village Drive that damaged at least 10 apartments, Lexington fire officials said Saturday.
Lexington fire crews were called to the Stone Bridge Apartments in the 1200 block of Village Drive around 4:14 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21.
The fire started on the second floor and spread to other units. By 5:30 p.m., firefighters had contained the fire but were still working on extinguishing hot spots.
Six patients, including two children, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.
At least 10 apartments were damaged by the fire. An unknown number of tenants have been displaced.
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
