Twitter reacts to gut-wrenching Kentucky loss to Florida
After, perhaps, the most agonizing loss in a series filled with agonizing losses, Kentucky fans and former players took to Twitter Saturday night to commiserate over the Cats’ loss to Florida for the 31st year in a row, 28-27.
From Patrick Towles’ “Game of Thrones” GIF to Rich Brooks’ encouraging words, they ranged from anger to despair with a few, like Brooks, trying to remain positive. There was plenty of reaction from all over the sports world, as well.
At one point after the game, Kentucky was trending third in the United States with more than 51,000 tweets. A sampling:

That was a great game by Kentucky football team. #BBN there is so much more football left to play. The future is bright for this team.

How does Kentucky lose this game, on the same kind of mistake, twice? Left two guys wide open before snap/forgot they were on the field open

So many good things. So many avoidable mistakes. Hate it for #BBN, hate it for the team. Hate it most for 15. He deserved it.
