One of Lexington’s best new restaurants has added lunch. Is brunch next?

One of Lexington’s best new restaurants recently added lunch hours.

Millstone, which opened at the end of 2025 in historic Dudley Square, is open for lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wed.-Fri.

The casual, upscale Kentucky-influenced menu is the same for dinner and lunch. But Executive Chef and owner Tyler Murray has added some new menu items since opening.

New items include heirloom tomato salad ($16), farmhouse salad ($13), smoked prime rib sandwich ($21), crispy chicken sandwich ($17) and seared salmon ($41).

“Lunch was always part of the long-term vision for Millstone, but we wanted to make sure we established a strong foundation before continuing to expand,” Murray said. “Adding lunch feels like the natural next step in the restaurant’s growth. Downtown Lexington has a great mix of professionals, residents and visitors, and we want Millstone to be a place where they can enjoy a great meal and the same level of hospitality they would expect from us at dinner.”

Millstone wants to be a downtown lunch destination

Murray said he hopes to become a regular lunch destination for downtown Lexington business community. He also said Millstone, which opened after an extensive renovation that included a new dining room and patio addition to the longtime Dudley’s location, might one day offer brunch.

“Brunch is still something we are interested in exploring, but there is not currently a confirmed launch date,” said Murray. “Our focus right now is continuing to grow our Wednesday-Friday lunch service and making sure we are executing it consistently before adding another service, period.”
