With rental cars, hotel and Airbnb stays, food and more, vacations are pricey, but Lexington Blue Grass Airport has a few lower-cost options and is adding new flights regularly.
Blue Grass Airport reported a record-breaking 1,614,053 passengers in 2025. Now offering 18 nonstop flights, you may be able to find a good spring break destination on the cheap.
Using Google Flights, we rounded up some trips you can book for less than $200 — as long as you’re flexible with where you’re going and when. Here’s what to know as you plan your next spring vacation.
Where can I fly out of Lexington, KY for less than $200?
The cheapest trip we found on Google Flights was to Fort Lauderdale Thursday, April 30 through Thursday, May 7 for $96 with Allegiant Air.
A roundtrip to Orlando Monday, April 27 to Monday, May 4 with Allegiant is listed for $97. To compare, the next cheapest flight in that same time frame is listed for $420 with Delta Air Lines.
If Florida isn’t your style, you could instead book a flight to Las Vegas Thursday, April 9 through Thursday, April 16 for $155. The next cheapest flight is listed for $333 with United Airlines.
On the higher price point but still less than $200, you can book a round trip to Chicago Monday, April 13 through Thursday, April 23 with United for $189.
Tips for flying out of Lexington
Here are some tips for a smooth trip out of Blue Grass Airport

- Keep updated on flight status.
- Review Transportation Security Administration guidelines ahead of time.
- Check in through your mobile device.
- Use online boarding passes for a smoother experience.
Travelers must also have a REAL ID to fly as of May 2025. REAL IDs can be distinguished from typical Kentucky driver’s licenses by a star in the top right corner.
If you don’t have a REAL ID, travelers now have the option to instead pay a $45 fee, which allows them 10 days of security access through TSA’s ConfirmID.
