A South Carolina woman trusted her gut and walked away with a $500,000 lottery prize.

The lucky winner credits a hunch she had about a 100X The Cash scratch-off game she bought from a Country Mart store in Great Falls, according to a Sept. 5 news release from South Carolina Education Lottery officials.

“I was excited,” the woman told officials of the moment she saw the jackpot prize. “I’m blessed.”

She said she plans to save her six-figure windfall for now.

The lucky player beat odds of 1 in 960,000 to win the $500,000 grand prize, lottery officials said. The 100X The Cash game is no longer being sold.

Great Falls is about a 50-mile drive north from Columbia.
