The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team played a U-23 team from Canada on Sunday night in the 2023 GLOBL JAM at Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Wildcats defeated Canada, 89-72 to win the gold medal in the four-team international tournament.

Kentucky’s Antonio Reeves was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Germany beat Africa 77-72 earlier in the day to win the bronze medal. The University of Louisville, representing the United States in the women’s GLOBL JAM, topped Canada 68-66 on Sunday to win a gold medal of its own.
