The Kentucky football team learned Sunday that it will play Virginia Tech in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 31.
UK football season-ticket holders and eligible K Fund donors were able to place bowl game reservations from Nov. 23-Dec. 5; those who selected the Belk Bowl were supposed to receive confirmations regarding their ticket requests on Sunday, according to UK Athletics, and they will have their seats assigned on a best-available basis among UK’s official allotment (8,000 total).
Remaining tickets in UK’s allotment were scheduled to go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday. Tickets in the allotment are $92 each and will be available through UKFootballTix.com or by calling 1-800-928-2287 (dial option 4).
Various ticket offerings are available through the Belk Bowl website, though they are not counted as part of UK’s allotment. Ticket prices through the Belk Bowl’s partnership with Ticketmaster range from $35 to $158 before fees.
Information for student tickets for the Belk Bowl was scheduled to be available Sunday at UKFootballTix.com.
Tickets are also available through various online ticket marketplaces but the legitimacy of those tickets cannot be guaranteed by the Belk Bowl or Kentucky.
Bank of America Stadium, where the game will be played, seats more than 75,000. It is where the NFL’s Carolina Panthers play.
