Another four-star lineman is coming to Lexington.
Josaih Hayes, a 6-foot-2, 308-pound defensive tackle from Horn Lake, Miss., announced his commitment to the University of Kentucky on Wednesday. The Commerical Appeal first reported Hayes’ commitment.
Hayes is considered a four-star prospect by both 247Sports and Rivals. His decision came down to UK, Auburn, Mississippi State, Memphis and Mississippi, to whom he was committed from June until late October.
Mississippi heading into Wednesday was considered the favorite to re-gain Hayes’ commitment — five of 247Sports’ seven “Crystal Ball” predictions picked the Rebels — and hosted Hayes for his last official visit prior to his announcement.
Hayes recorded 81 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks as a senior. Inside linebackers coach Jon Sumrall was Hayes’ lead recruiter.
