The University of Kentucky football team defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 27-17, at Kroger Field in Lexington on Saturday night.
The 22nd-ranked Wildcats are now 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Southeastern Conference. No. 16 Mississippi State fell to 5-2 and 2-2.
Kentucky has next week off before returning to action Saturday, Oct. 29, when it visits No. 6 Tennessee in Knoxville.
