For all its flaws, the Kentucky football offense entered Saturday’s game at South Carolina adept at keeping its hands on the ball and its quarterback off the turf.

Those trends turned in a 35-13 loss to the Gamecocks at Williams-Brice Stadium, with the Wildcats committing four turnovers (doubling their total through the first three games) and surrendering six sacks of QB Cutter Boley after having allowed six sacks for the season entering Saturday.

The Gamecocks turned two of those turnovers — a fumble and an interception by Boley —into defensive touchdowns in a second quarter that turned the game.
