  • The PGA Tour's ISCO Championship is underway at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville.
  • A field of 156 golfers is competing for a $4 million purse in the ISCO Championship.

Kentucky’s annual stop on the PGA Tour is now in the history books.

The ISCO Championship — which was held for the first time at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville — was won Sunday by William Mouw at 10-under-par.

Mouw shot a final round 61 (-9) to win the event. Mouw trailed by seven shots entering the final 18 holes of play.

Mouw’s victory is his first triumph on the PGA Tour. He’s a 24-year-old from California who played college golf at Pepperdine. Mouw won the ISCO Championship by one shot over Paul Peterson, who finished in solo second at 9-under-par.

Peterson had two birdie putts on the 17th and 18th holes to force a playoff, but he failed to convert either look.

This year’s tournament featured two weather delays on Saturday during the third round, which forced some golfers to finish their third rounds early Sunday morning.

Hurstbourne is the new host site for the ISCO, an event that was previously known as the Barbasol Championship. Since the tournament moved to Kentucky from Alabama in 2018, it had been contested each year (with the exception of 2020) at Champions at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville.

A field of 156 golfers began this year’s event, which featured a $4 million purse. Mouw took home $720,000 for winning the event.

A total of 68 golfers — including four with Kentucky connections — made the event’s 36-hole cut, which came down at 1-over-par.
