Liveblog: Kentucky 24, Southern Mississippi 17
The liveblog is back.
And Kentucky football is back. It’s the 2017 season opener. For the Cats, the starting line is at M.M. Roberts Stadium, home of the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. It’s a 4 p.m. ET kickoff on the CBS Sports Network.
Both teams finished 7-6 last season. Kentucky lost to Georgia Tech in the TaxSlayer Bowl. Southern Miss beat Louisiana-Lafayette in the New Orleans Bowl. In fact, as you’ve probably heard, Kentucky and Southern Miss played last year in Lexington. That was the 2016 season opener. Kentucky led 35-17 at halftime. Southern Miss won 44-35. This is the rematch.
