Indian restaurant chain opening fine dining location in Lexington
A new-to-Lexington Indian restaurant says it’s going to open a location on one of the city’s busiest roads.
Tabla Indian Restaurant plans to open at 2270 Nicholasville Road in the former location of Maple Street Biscuit Company, which closed in September 2025.
The Indian restaurant said on social media that it “can’t wait to serve you soon!” with its authentic menu. Multiple attempts for comment and details about the opening were unsuccessful.
But a blog post on the chain restaurant’s website said the new Lexington location is part of a four-city expansion across the country.
The post said the Lexington location will be a fine dining Indian restaurant. Tabla also has express versions of the chain and cafes, including a Richmond location that opened in Aug. 2025. Nationwide, there are 11 locations, mostly in Florida and Texas.
What is on Tabla Indian Restaurant’s menu?
The Lexington restaurant says it will have an authentic Indian cuisine menu with curry and tandoori meals and Asian fusion options.
“Every dish is carefully prepared with traditional preparation methods to maintain consistency and authentic flavors,” the blog post said.
The Indo-Chinese restaurant said online it plans to highlight rich curries and sizzling tandoor dishes using traditional methods and spices.
Dishes like butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and paneer tikka are diners favorites, the restaurant’s website said. No menu is posted for the Lexington location.
The blog post said the restaurant will have vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and be open for lunch and dinner. It also said it’s “a stylish restaurant with exquisite dishes, welcoming hospitality, and polished service.”
