Tickets for ‘Summer’s Best Party’ support an iconic Lexington location

Tickets are still available for a popular Lexington tradition billed as “Summer’s Best Party.”

The 29th annual Ashland Lawn Party takes place from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on June 27 at Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate, 120 Sycamore Road.

This signature summer event is the primary fundraiser for the 17-acre historic site, which was 19th-century home of Kentucky statesman Henry Clay. Proceeds support historic preservation, educational programming and cultural experiences at one of Lexington’s most iconic landmarks.

The event features live music, dancing and gourmet local cuisine from Selma’s Catering & Events. There is also silent and live auctions featuring items like an Alexander the Great silver coin (circa 336 B.C.) set in 14k gold bezel and rope necklace, bourbon baskets and a week vacation on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

A tent is set up on the lawn of Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate, for the historic site’s annual fundraiser, the Ashland Lawn Party. Each year, the Lawn Party brings in hundreds of guests for an elegant evening of gourmet local cuisine, a silent auction and live music all set against the backdrop of one of Lexington’s most iconic landmarks.
