Lexington woman in custody, charged with complicity to murder in January homicide
A Lexington woman has been arrested in connection to a January homicide that left a 27-year-old man dead, according to the Lexington Police Department.
Brooklyn Trigg, 21, was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center Wednesday. Jail records say she’s been charged with complicity to murder and tampering with physical evidence.
The charges are related to the death of 27-year-old Daievyon Elliott. Elliott was found shot inside a vehicle in the back parking lot of a residence on Fairmont Court in January.
Court documents say Trigg and another witness were in the car when the shooting occurred. Trigg met with Darrion Saliford, charged with complicity to murder, and another man before the shooting happened, and communicated with the other man after it occurred.
Trigg tested positive for gunshot residue, according to court documents. She was announced as a suspect by Lexington police Wednesday.
Trigg bond is set at $750,000, according to court records. She is scheduled to appear in Fayette District Court Thursday for an arraignment.
